AgriThority® to Host Breakout Session on Challenges for New Innovations at World Agri-Tech

(Kansas City, Missouri, USA — March 10, 2022) AgriThority® scientists Gloverson Moro, Ph.D. and Ignacio Colonna will host a breakout session at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco on Tuesday, March 22 at 4:30 p.m. PST in breakout room 3.

The breakout session “Deep Dive: Moving Biologicals from R through D” focuses on the challenges novel innovations face along the path to commercialization. Moro and Colonna will lead a roundtable discussion with industry experts on the importance of a disciplined stage-gate development process.

Optimization of the development process from discovery through development and launch encompasses many different variables. Adopting stage-gate process and technology transfer leads to better management of risk and resources. This session will address the key challenges new technologies face, and how companies can lessen the risks and improve the potential for successful launches with solid performance data that can tell a strong story about benefits to growers.

“Product development is as much about process at it is about science. Having clarity on what questions need to be addressed and in what order, is critical,” said Gloverson Moro, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer. We look forward to sharing our experience with over 170 technologies across more than 1500 field trial locations.”

Moro, Colonna and roundtable participants will share several examples of the potential pitfalls and offer alternatives to improve evaluation of biological products, at both small plot and field scales.

Our AgriThority experience with biologicals began in 2008 and has given us 13 years of data sets with trials across multiple continents, said Ignacio Colonna, Global Director of Science and Technology. We are looking forward to sharing our insights during the breakout session and are proud to be a Gold Partner of World Agri-Tech.”
