Karen Arthur Joins AgriThority As Seed Treatment Product Development Specialist

Kansas City, Missouri, USA –AgriThority® LLC, an integrated agricultural science consultancy providing product and field development services to the crop protection and seed treatment industries globally, announces the addition of Karen Arthur to its team as Seed Treatment Product Development Specialist.

Widely known in the seed treatment industry, Arthur has achieved a broad base of expertise in seed treatment applications, steering the R&D process from experimental evaluation of early stage biologics and chemistries to product and field development through to commercial launch. She is proficient in seed technology and seed treatment strategies with extensive knowledge of seed-applied fungicides, insecticides and biologics.

“Karen’s work in seed and seedling pathology and physiology covers a wide range of agronomic broad-acre crops and vegetable crops. We’re eager to apply her experience to help AgriThority® clients build sound strategies and plans to develop products that meet and exceed commercial market standards,” says Jerry Duff, AgriThority managing member.

Prior to joining AgriThority, Arthur directed research and development programs, overseeing laboratory and field research, to build the Valent U.S.A. seed treatment portfolio. Arthur’s biological experience in seed treatment began early in her professional career as a seed technologist with Gustafson. She has a proven track record of improving seed treatment formulations and systems to enhance protection of seed-applied insecticide investments, including Gaucho® and Poncho® at Gustafson, and Nipsit® while at Valent.

Arthur earned a bachelor of science in horticulture and a master of agriculture in plant protection from Texas A&M University.
