Exceed the Seed Symposium Speakers, Content Receive High Praise

Kansas City, Missouri, USA – The Exceed the Seed Symposium presented by AgriThority® is earning a stellar reputation, confirmed by participant feedback collected at the second annual event held Dec. 8 in Chicago. Speakers representing all aspects of seed treatment shared trends, solutions and insights to drive new product development, from genetics and biological pesticides to seed processing and colorants.

Evaluations submitted by speakers and attendees of the Symposium reveal the benefit of attending Exceed the Seed. Speakers at this year’s event were rated as excellent, receiving an average overall score of 4.24 out of a possible 5. Additional feedback shows the topics and quality of content presented were also extremely valuable, both receiving scores averaging above a 4.

Attendees from companies representing a majority of the US corn market share listened to presentations encouraging more sustainable farming practices. While approximately 60 percent of the US seed corn market share was represented at the inaugural event in 2013, the market share represented at the 2014 Symposium was even higher.

Exceed the Seed featured presentations from Aakash Chemicals & Dye-Stuffs, ABM, AgriThority, the American Seed Trade Association, BASF, NewLeaf Symbiotics, Oliver Manufacturing, USDA, and WinField. Speakers at the Symposium emphasized the strategic importance of the first 30 days after germination in optimizing yield from a high-performing crop.

“We’re proud to provide an exceptional group of speakers presenting the latest developments in seed treatment at this year’s Symposium,” said Jerry Duff, AgriThority managing member. “The variety of speakers provided a balanced program connecting the steps of the seed treatment process and delivered information attendees can apply immediately to improve their own products.”

AgriThority, an independent science consultancy for agricultural product and field research and development, has scheduled the next Exceed the Seed event on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 in Chicago prior to the ASTA’s CSS 2015 & Seed Expo.
